Please accept my sincere regards and heartfelt greetings. Hope by the grace of Sri Sri Thakur everything is fine with you and your family members. I’m delighted to inform you Mahavidyalaya Praktani has planned to organise its first Retreat in December, 2022. The plan to host a Retreat programme is the brain child of our Principal Maharaj, Sw. Ekachittanandaji, who is also an alumnus of our College.

Mahavidyalaya Praktani was organising a reunion every two years. Though it provided an opportunity for interaction, many felt that the formal structured program left a limited scope for exploring the alma mater and have free flow of ideas to make the alumni association more robust and versatile. During the last AGM the idea of a Retreat of ex-students was mooted. The objective was twofold:

a) To spend a night at the ashrama to savour the nostalgic experience of our student life which we left far behind. A longer stay will offer an opportunity to follow the hostel routine once more.
b) Alumni from across the batches can get together to discuss the area of activities of Praktani and explore the possibilities of expanding the network, raising funds, ways to constructively contribute to the future development of the college etc.

In pursuance of the stated objective, a retreat has been planned for the first time with active assistance from the college authorities. Since only a limited number of Alumni can be accommodated, pre-registration is required to avail the opportunity. The details of the programme are as follows:

1. Winter retreat will be held on 25-26th December, 2022.
2. Respected Principal Maharaj has given his consent for a maximum of 120 participants in newly renovated Sri Gauranga Bhavana.
3. Participants will have to report on 25 th December, 2022 at 10:30 am for registration at the ground floor of Sri Gauranga Bhavana.
4. Retreat charges Rs 700/.
5. Last date of enrollment: 15th December, 2022.
6. Sri Debiprasad Bhowmik (1964-67): +919433106221 and Dr. Bijoy Kr Bera (1971-74): +919433408446 will be the joint coordinator for the retreat programme.
7. You are requested to bring your blanket. Rest of the bedding will be provided by the college authority.
