Benevolent Fund : 1975-78 Batch

Being inspired by the ideas of Swami Vivekananda, our brothers of 1975-78 batch have initiated a programme to extend assistance to some of the trainees of Lokashiksha Parishad, after successful completion of their training, so that they can stand on their own feet. A MoU has been signed by MVP, 1975-78 Batch and Lokashiksha Parishad to this direction early this year.

They have already developed a corpus fund of more than Rs. Eight Lakhs and are hopeful of taking it to Thirty Lakhs to take up more such schemes. Two sets of programmes have already been organized and 3 trainees have received swing mechanics to start their efforts, not only to be self-employed, but also to generate scope of employment for others.

Wing Commander Sri K. K. Kundu, a life member of Praktani and one of the Batch Coordinators of 1975-78 batch has taken a leading role in organizing his batchmates to generate this benevolent Fund.

AMPHAN RELIEF

Donation for Amphan DAMAGE IN OUR COLLEGE

Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Mahavidyalaya Praktani renders financial assistance to some needy and meritorious students of our college in the form of scholarships. Time to time Praktani has provided financial assistance to members, college staff and needy students or to other persons whenever required to pursue higher studies, medical treatment or for similar pressing needs. Praktani also distributes books, exercise books and other aids to the financially backward students of some primary schools in the rural areas of the districts of 24 Parganas (S) and Medinipur. Praktani is also actively involved physically and financially with the medical camps organised by the NSS unit of our college.

The fund for social work comes from donations. As the resources are very limited, the quantum of work undertaken depends on the availability of the fund and criticality of the need.

Praktani requests all members and well wishers to donate generously to our social service fund.
